Glastonbury (26 - 30 June)

Somerset yearly hosts this contemporary festival with music, dance, comedy and much more and it is always a memorable experience. Whether your sleep in a teepee or a camper van, you’re guaranteed to go home tired but happy. Official tickets have now been sold out but lookout for anyone selling their ticket last minute if you want to join in!

Latitude Festival (18 - 21 July)

This year’s line-up for this Suffolk-based festival includes Lana del Rey, George Ezra, Snow Patrol and many more. 

If you’re all about dance music, you can’t miss out on Creamfields. Taking place in Daresbury on August Bank Holiday weekend, this year’s performers include big names, such as Above & Beyond, deadmau5, Martin Garrix and Tiesto.

Reading and Leeds Festivals (23 - 25 August)

The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that share a common jam-packed line-up and dates. At these always strongly anticipated events, you can see a number of high-profile performers, such as Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters or Bastille this year.

Fusion Festival (31 August - 1 September)

One of the UK's biggest pop music festivals brings fan-favourite singers and bands to the surroundings of Liverpool each year. This summer, you can get excited for Little Mix, Rudimental, John Newman and Sigala among others. What a way to finish your summer off!

Pride across the UK

The BBC Proms (19 July - 14 September)

If outdoorsy festivals are not your cup of tea but you love classical music, this ones for you. Founded in 1895, The Proms is an eight-week lineup of daily orchestral music, mainly held in London’s Royal Albert Hall. 

Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2 - 29 August)

Said to be the world’s largest arts festival, Edinburgh Fringe is an event not to be missed. From music, comedy, theatre to the circus, there is something for everyone. 

Notting Hill Carnival (24 - 26 August)

A tradition old more than 50 years, The Notting Hill Carnival is one of the happiest and biggest street parties in Europe. Put on some funky clothes, take a beer in your hand, come see amazing costumes and dance to live music in London’s famous multicultural district!

Sports Events

Royal Ascot (18 - 22 June)

One of Britain’s (and world’s) finest horse races is not just about the racing but also about high fashion, fine dining and spectacular heritage. 

Major League Baseball London Series (29 - 30 June)

Major League Baseball is coming to the UK for the first time ever. Don’t hesitate if you’re a MLB fan as Boston Red Sox against New York Yankees promises spectacular fun! Taking place in the London Stadium, this will be an event not to be repeated. 

Wimbledon (1 - 14 July)

One of the most glamorous Grand Slam tennis tournaments filled with Pimms and strawberries with cream takes place at the brink of July. If you are dying to see Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal on the court, you’re in luck! Wimbledon remains as one of the few major sporting events that reserve a number of on the day tickets for the public to queue for. 

Henley Royal Regatta (3 - 7 July)

If you feel strongly about Britain’s most beloved sport - rowing - you will have undoubtedly come across Henley Royal Regatta. This event is not only a highly regarded boat race but an equally fantastic social event. If you’re around West London in the first week of July, it might be worth making a trip to Henley-on-Thames for an unforgettable experience. 

Goodwood Festival of Speed (4 - 7 July)

This one is for the motorsport fanatics of the world. Goodwood becomes a motoring mecca every summer and this year, it promises even more attractions and an even better experience.
