How do I pay my bill?

Your payment comes out once a month via your chosen payment method entered during signup. This can either be from the lead tenant or split between housemates.

Your payments will be taken via a card payment, much like a direct debit. You just add your card details to your dashboard and payments will come out monthly on your payments date. If you replace your card, don’t forget to update your card details!

Will my payment remain the same?

Yes, your monthly payment will remain the same if you are on a fixed length package unless of course you add/remove services.

Your payments may change for fixed length packages if:
- you have a missed payment. If this is the case, we will spread the cost of this missed payment across your remaining payments hence the increase. If you would like to pay for your missed payment now, please get in touch.

- If your first payment date comes 1 month or more after your package start date, we will recalculate your contracted total amount divided over the remaining months of your fixed length package. For example, your total annual payments for your 12 month contract is £1,000, you were quoted £83.3 per month, your new monthly price will be £90.9 paid over the 11 months, but overall you will still only be paying £1,000.

If you are on a rolling contract, your payments will be reviewed every 12 months.

What happens if my housemate can’t pay their share of the bill?

Your housemate should get in touch with the Fused Bills customer service team as soon as possible. We do all that we can to help if we know about a problem.

If your housemate doesn’t contact us or is still unable to meet new payment terms, then all other housemates may have their payments increased to pay the house monthly amount. This is because all of our agreements have a joint and several liability, just like most rental agreements.

How do you work out my monthly payment amount?

As there aren’t exactly four weeks in a month, we need to work out a full average monthly bill so you won’t get hit with any extra bills at the end of the year.

To do this for a 12 month contract, we multiply your weekly amount by 52 (as there are 52 weeks in a year) then divide it by 12 (the number of months in a year). This means you get an accurate monthly payment which covers you for the full month.

e.g. a quote of £10 per week would make the following monthly payment…

(10 x 52) / 12 = £43.34 per month

Are there any hidden fees or one-off costs?

No, there are no hidden fees or one-off costs. Your quote will show a breakdown of all fees and services.

If you select a contract with a third party-supplier, they may require a one-off setup cost, this will be communicated to you if this is the case.
